Ms. Eker Ayhan has graduated from Ankara University Law Faculty. Following her legal internship, she got her LLM degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, with a full scholarship. She then worked as the Vice Secretary General at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and was involved in many domestic and international arbitration proceedings.
She also represented the Chamber in many international organizations and events, including the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Groups. In the meantime, she began her doctorate studies in Istanbul University Law Faculty. She was awarded a scholarship from The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey to conduct research for her PhD thesis in King’s College London under the supervision of renowned competition lawyer Renato Nazzini.
She successfully defended her thesis “Resolving Competition Law Disputes Through Arbitration: A Comparative Analysis”. She speaks English, French (Intermediate) and is currently learning German.
